First, I am gald to see our jeans in your picture. Thank you. Second, I really appreciate your review of denim - denim trends for plus size women, however I feel like you are missing major key trends for 2009.

You are correct, dark denim and wide legs will continue to be important for Fall/Winter 2009, but it is not the begining of these trends - they have been around for a couple of years now. Really important trends for Fall 2009 are listed below:

1) "Perfect Imperfections": Subtle details, naturally worn in and worn out - gone are the days of over distruction. "Micro details" - broken threads, perfectly placed minor wear and tear that one wouldn't notice if they weren't personally designing the garment.

2) Green/Sustainable: Green cottons/Green finishes. However, I have to tell you and your readers that I don't think that green denim is not better for the earth or better for the people in the regions where denim is created - provided the manuf. properly/responsibly dispose of all chemicals/wastes. The major reason - it takes significantly more clean H20 to create "Green cotton" and "Green washes" than it takes to create washes with chemicals. Unlike America, a lot of the regions where denim is produced, people don't have access to unlimited amounts of clean water (India, China, etc.) - so it seems wasteful to use it on cotton and jeans for our market instead of drinking water and crops to feed local populations.

3. Motorcycle will continue from Spring into Fall!

4. Winter white - updated versions of white, off white, taupes.

5. Light, bright contrast stitching in neon colors
