How to Measure Yourself for Plus Size Swimwear

Measuring Your Bust

First off you have to start by measuring your bust. While wearing your best bra measure around the fullest part of the bust making sure to keep the tape level all the way around your body! Don’t let is slip low or slide up too high around the back. This is the measurement you will use when referencing the Swimsuits For All size chart.

Measuring Your Waist

Next, you will need to measure your waist. First find your natural waistline, to do this stand up straight and bend sideways until the crease appears on your side. Generally it’s just below your last rib and a couple of inches above your navel. Don’t forget to keep the tape level all the way around! This number is your waist measurement.

Measuring Your Hips

This number is determined by measuring the widest part of your hip area. It’s different for everyone, but it’s roughly 8 inches below your waistline. Be sure to stand with your feet together, wrap the tape around your hips, making sure the tape is level all the way round and that it goes over the fullest part of your rear. This is your hip measurement!

Measuring Your Torso

The torso measurement is often overlooked, but it’s very important to getting the right fit. Place the end of the measuring tape on top of your shoulder, around two inches from the edge. Direct the tap over your bust, down between your legs and back up to the starting point. This is your torso measurement.
